Lowry Hill homes for sale
Located just west of the center of Minneapolis, the Lowry Hill neighborhood is part of the greater Calhoun-Isles community. The neighborhood itself gets its name from Thomas Lowry, a real estate tycoon that lived in the area during the late 1800s. Its location in the heart of Hennepin County is convenient for commuters and travelers as Interstate 94 makes up its eastern border and Interstate 394 borders the neighborhood to the north. Hennepin Avenue is located along the southeastern border of Lowry Hill and other major roadways are also within the neighborhood. Many of the homes located in the Lowry Hill real estate market are Victorian-style homes as they were built before the 20th century. There are other styles available, though, including English Tudor, Colonial, Prairie style and others. The neighborhood has a population of around 4,000 residents and it takes up about 0.622 square miles of land. Some of the features include The Blake School, the Dunwoody College of Technology, and Thomas Lowry Park, among others.
